PRESIDENT:  Dr. Ivy F. Lin grew up in Montreal, Canada, where she also received her DMD from McGill University. She then went on to complete a GPR at University of Washington without the intention of staying in Seattle, but fell in love with the surrounding nature and the mild weather. Following her studies, she worked at the Community Health Centers of Snohomish County, served as clinical instructor at UW and volunteered as Deputy Dental Director at the Seattle/King-County Clinic. Pursuing a growing passion for public health, she then completed a MPH at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is now the Assistant Director of the GPR and an Assistant Professor in Oral Surgery at UW and continues to work in public health dentistry, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and climate action in dentistry. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, karaoke, and trying new restaurants.

PAST-PRESIDENT:  Dr. Tyler Rumple received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University then attended the University of Washington, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He is a native of Smokey Point and attended Lakewood High School. Following dental school, Dr. Rumple served in the Navy, including two years as aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C Stennis (CVN-74). Following his service in the Navy, he and his wife returned to the Snohomish County region to raise their children, Audrey and Evan, in the same area where they grew up. In his free time, Dr. Rumple stays busy with three dachshunds, one cat, and three horses. He enjoys hiking and camping and is an avid Seahawks and Mariners fan.

Dr. Rumple has vast experience in organized dentistry, serving on the ADA Council on Dental Education and Licensure, AGD New Dentist Committee, ASDA Vice President, and Delegate/Alternate Delegate for the ADA, AGD, and WSDA House of Delegates. In addition to SCDS/WSDA/ADA, Dr. Rumple is a member of the following associations: Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Clear Aligners.

PRESIDENT-ELECT:  Dr. Andrew Sholudko was born and raised in Massachusetts. He attended the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT and in 2009 he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biophysics and Structural Biology. He earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2013 and has been practicing dentistry since that time.  After graduation, he worked as an associate dentist at several dental practices in the Hartford, Connecticut area. Upon relocating to Washington, Dr. Sholudko worked as a supervising dentist in the hygiene programs at PIMA Medical Institute and Lake Washington Institute of Technology. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, and Snohomish County Dental Society. He has owned Silver Lake Family Dental in Everett, since 2015. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. 

Dr. Mizutani

SECRETARY:  Dr. Aimi Kuwahara is a general dentist practicing at the Community Health Centers of Snohomish County in North Everett. She was born in Osaka, Japan, and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Biology with a studio art minor in sculpture from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She received her DDS degree from the University of Colorado in 2015. Dr. Mizutani and her husband reside in Bothell and enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with their cat and two dogs. 

Dr Bourne

TREASURER:  Dr. Jason Bourne has been an orthodontist with offices in Marysville and Lake Stevens since 2003. His undergraduate and dental training were completed at the University of Washington, and orthodontic training at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He and his wife are the proud parents of 3, and Dr. Bourne enjoys any activities that are outdoors, supporting our local sports teams, traveling, and cheering on his kids on the sidelines of their soccer matches!

Dr. Bourne has been happy to serve in the following positions/boards in organized dentistry: Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentists, Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Class Representative and Executive Board Member of the UW School of Dentistry Alumni Association, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President and President of the UW School of Dentistry Alumni Association, Fundraising Chair on the Executive Board of the Alumni Association, Dean’s Club Board of the UW School of Dentistry, Regent of the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation, and Head Lecturer of the Northwest Chapter of the Seattle Invisalign Study Club. Dr. Bourne is also a proud member of the following dental organizations: American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the Washington State Society of Orthodontists.

COMMITTEE MEMBER: Dr. Matthew D. Lee  Matt Lee is a native to the Pacific Northwest, growing up in the Mukilteo/Everett area his whole life. After graduating from Western Washington University with a BS in Biological Anthropology and a BA in Sociology, Dr. Lee went to Boston to complete his dental training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He then went on to complete an AEGD at the Winslow Indian Health Care Center in Winslow, AZ where he was able to work with the Navajo Native American population. Dr. Lee returned back to the Seattle area and works full time in Edmonds at Custom Dental Care. He is currently a member of the ADA and AGD, and just recently earned his FAGD at the most recent AGD Scientific Session in 2025.  During his free time, Dr. Lee loves trying new food spots, watching TV shows, and traveling. One thing on his bucket list is to visit all the US National Parks.

COMMITTEE MEMBER:  Dr. Stacey Sype graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2000. After graduating, Dr. Sype completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Following her residency, she entered into private practice as an associate dentist for six years in Omaha, NE. In 2007, Dr. Sype moved back to the Pacific Northwest to enjoy its beauty and outdoor activity.

Dr. Sype values the importance of enhancing her current abilities and quality of care on a regular basis. In 2018, Dr. Sype graduated from the Kois Center and she continues to attend workshops at the Kois Center to hone her skills and stay apprised of the latest developments in dental medicine. In 2021, she was honored to become a mentor to other dentists at the Kois Center. Recently, she also completed the first program in the Digital Smile Design residency, which is on the leading edge of providing advanced aesthetic and functional smile design. She is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.  When she isn’t in the dental office, you will most likely find Dr. Sype enjoying the outdoors. She loves to hike, snow ski, snowshoe, and mountaineer. In fact, she has climbed 42 of Colorado’s beautiful 14,000ft peaks! Of course, nothing is more important to her, than spending time with her family and friends.
