ABOUT US
The Society has a staffed central office to provide information on current dental issues, act as a liaison to the community, and serve as a support to our member dentists.
We also provide a referral service to the public at no cost. Member dentists are in good standing with the Snohomish County Dental Society, the Washington State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. In addition, they:
1. Have agreed to go through a peer review process in the event that a patient has a question about the quality of care. Peer review is available to the public at no charge. The Peer Review Committee only mediates cases concerning member dentists.
2. Have agreed to complete continuing education every year as required for their annual license renewal.
The Snohomish County Dental Society is dedicated to furthering education, mutual support and better communication with the general public and member dentists. It is our goal to provide this web site as a useful tool for dental information.

SNOHOMISH COUNTY DENTAL SOCIETY
ANTI-BIAS POLICY 2023
The Snohomish County Dental Society (SCDS) is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Our human capital is the most valuable asset we have. The collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, inventiveness, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities and talent that our employees and members invest in their work represents a significant part of not only our culture, but our reputation and SCDS’s achievement as well.
We embrace and encourage our employees’ and members’ differences including - but not limited to - age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make our community unique.
The Snohomish County Dental Society (SCDS)’s diversity initiatives are applicable - but not limited - to our practices and policies on program planning, member engagement and community support on the premise of diversity equity that encourages and enforces:
- Respectful communication and cooperation between all staff and Society members.
- Teamwork and participation, permitting the representation of all groups and member perspectives.
- Member and staff contributions to the communities we serve to promote a greater understanding and respect for the diversity.
We specifically want to ensure that those who teach our continuing education classes, and meetings are not discriminated against in regard to gender/identity, ethnicity, religion, age disability, socioeconomic status, and/or sexual orientation. We strive to have our educational component reflect the values of our organization.
All members of The Snohomish County Dental Society (SCDS) have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times. All employees and members are expected to exhibit conduct that reflects inclusion during work functions on or off the work site, and at all other SCDS sponsored and participative events.
Members or staff who believe they have been subjected to any kind of discrimination that conflicts with the SCDS’s diversity policy and initiatives should seek assistance from the Executive Committee President or an Executive Committee representative.
