Skagit King County Clinic ​at Key Arena-- Thurs. Sept. 20th - Sun. Sept 23rd.Volunteer Dentists, Hygienists, & Assistants desperately needed!
This year it is a MONTH EARLY, Sept 20-23 (Because rebuilding of arena starts a month later). Snohomish County Dentists & staff were well represented in the previous years​-- We need you more than ever! ​Please sign up and bring your assistants and hygienists. Event: Skagit Project Homeless Connect, August 24th & 25th, 2018

Snohomish County will not be holding Project Homeless Connect this year and ​Skagit County expects to see ​a big  increase in the number of guests traveling from Snohomish County seeking dental and other services at their event.

News From Snohomish Health District

*Are you interested in collaborating on community efforts? The Dental Access Coalition (DAC) is looking for dentists and hygienists, retired to practicing, to become active members. 2018 is the perfect opportunity to be represented as our county comes together to address such issues as the opioid crisis. Sno-Isle Tech Seeks Volunteers for Dental Assisting Program & Clinic

Are you willing to share your knowledge and skills with dental students at Sno-Isle?  Volunteers are welcome to visit the classroom to speak, help with skill checks, demonstrate procedures, and/or join the Advisory Board. Puget Sound Christian Clinic -- Volunteer Dentists Needed

PSCC's new, fully equipped, 5 chair clinic in Lynnwood is serving those with little or no access to dental care.  Dentists volunteer approx. 4X / year providing care (M - F).  For more information please email: volunteer@pschristianclinic.org or call Debra at (206)899-4754.

Medical Teams International Dental Van 

The mission of the Medical Teams International Mobile Dental Program is to provide free dental care to people who are living near or below the federal poverty line, are underinsured and have no viable alternatives for dental care. In partnership with volunteer dental professionals our primary goal is to eliminate pain and prevent future tooth decay. If you are interested in learning more about how to get involved please contact Tiffany at 425.284.1958. Retired or retiring soon? The ​State of WA will provide insurance and licensing fees to make it easy for you to volunteer. There are upcoming opportunities in Lynnwood, Edmonds, and Skagit County on varying days of the week Monday thru Saturday. Let us know when you can help and we’ll work around your schedule. 

Leadership

Interested in serving on the SCDS Executive Committee? Nominations are accepted ​each March, with Elections held in April each year.  The committee meets just six times per year at ​5:50PM just prior to each regular dental society meeting, plus one dinner planning meeting in August.

WSDA Leadership Institute
