A lifelong Husky\, he completed his BS\, DDS\, and MSD in Oral Medicine at UW. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral Medicine\, a fellow in the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh\, a fellow in the American College of Dentists\, and a Seattle Met “Top Dentist” in the field of Oral Medicine. Academic honors include the Bruce R. Rothwell distinguished teaching award\, and the UWSOD Dental Alumni Faculty award\, among many others. He lives in Edmonds with his wife\, Dr. Brittany Dean (a pediatric dentist) and his dog Hardy (a l iteral Husky).
