During the pandemic\, he shifted some of those would-be lessons to I nstagram\, TikTok\, and YouTube\, where a broader audience of dental and m edical professionals\, students\, and even the curious\, not-easily-grosse d-out general public could join the conversation. In 2024 he launched a po dcast\, and episodes have run the gamut: common medical emergencies in den tal settings\, sedation concerns with redheads (who may require more anest hesia) and cannabis users\, or the nitty-gritty on how to treat jaw disloc ations. Today\, his podcast is very highly rated all over the world. In f act\, The Wahan Experiment is heard in 72 counties and it is highly ranked in the US\, Cananda\, Australia\, Mexico and Poland. His total audience g rew by 266% in 2025. All this and he still works full-time as an Oral Sur geon with OM3 Oral Surgeons in Everett. He has been an affiliate instructor at the University of Washington since 2009 where he trains dental students and or al surgeons. He grew up in the Seattle area\, attended Newport High School \, and received his BA in Zoology at Washington State University. He moved to Boston to complete his dental training at Tufts Dental School. Dr. Wah an then moved to Pennsylvania where he completed medical school and his or al and maxillofacial surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital\, a l evel I trauma center in Pittsburgh. He also completed two years of general surgery residency.He is dual certified in Washington as a DMD and MD. He is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxill ofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxil lofacial Surgeons. He is Board Certified in Dental Anesthesiology by the N ational Board of Dental Anesthesiology. He has been on the executive commi ttee of the Snohomish County Dental Society since 2009 and served as Presi dent from 2013-2014.Dr. Wahan donates his time and covers facial trauma an d oral surgery call at Providence Regional Medical Center.
